Who will own the club is a big question, up to ten bidders are considering making bids for Chelsea FC; property developer Nick Candy is still pursuing his bid to buy the football club. Some say they ignored the truth about his connections for too long.
The war in Ukraine has been a terrible turn of events, plunging Europe back into war. Roman is one of seven oligarchs in a list, which also includes billionaires Sechin and Deripaska, both seen as allies of Putin. Roman said he was going to sell Chelsea earlier last month and Chelsea FC cannot sell any more tickets for games, its merchandise shop will be closed, and it will be unable to buy or sell players on the transfer market.
Yes things are clearly uncertain for the club, the government said it would issue a special licence that allows fixtures to be fulfilled, staff to be paid and existing ticket holders to attend games. The club are asking the government to ease some of the restrictions imposed on the club to ensure that they can survive.
